Eating disorders, a major issue for ballet dancers

83% of ballet dancers had some forms of eating disorder.

 

- 40% of ballet dancers are below 85% of the ideal body weight.

 

- The dancers are trainning for about 6 to 8 hours with teams/coaches and a big majority of them will do an extra 1 to 3 hours when they got home just for weight control purposes.
